About Our Practice

For more than 12 years, Heartland Foot & Ankle Associates has been on a mission to provide comprehensive foot and ankle services to our community with compassion, competence, and excellence.

Our practice was founded in 2008 by Dr. Melissa Lockwood, who is currently the only female podiatrist practicing in McLean County.

Since the beginning, we’ve been committed to the idea that:

  • Our patients deserve the highest quality care and treatment options, including state-of-the-art therapies that can help them avoid surgery.
  • Comfort and convenience are critical components of care! We work hard to make sure all our patients are warmly welcomed, fully listened to, always receive personal attention, and can get the care they need without any unnecessary obstacles.

You should never have to choose between getting the best treatment option or getting the best customer service. At Heartland Foot & Ankle, you can get the exceptional care you need in a relaxed, family-friendly, and personal environment.
